The Rocky Mountain Paddling Centre has been instructing and guiding in the Calgary area for over 20 years. We have built our reputation around the highest quality programs that you can find. Our goal is to “Create an exciting learning experience in a safe and comfortable environment”. RMPC’s professional staff are a unique group of individuals who have two important qualities. One being their love of paddling, the second, their desire to share their skills and enthusiasm with other paddlers. Our nationally certified staff strive to provide an atmosphere that encourages learning, fun and safety.
We are committed not only to providing first class instruction, but also to excite you about the fun of paddling. We offer rentals for canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards (SUP) and rafts. Whether you’re planning a quiet float trip down the Bow River or a more adventurous trek to the Kananaskis we have you covered. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will make your rental experience enjoyable.
In addition to rentals, Rocky Mountain Paddling Centre also offers canoe and kayak lessons. If you’re interesting in canoeing, we have you covered with a wide range of classes from an introductory course and family canoeing to solo boating and whitewater canoeing. If you’re more interested in learning the basics of kayaking, try our river kayaking course or if you’re interested in discovering your own adventures try our kayak touring class. If you’re sick of spending time upside down try our rolling and bracing clinic. Adventurous? Try the Stand-Up Paddleboarding sensation that’s sweeping the nation.
The Rocky Mountain Paddling Centre also offers courses in river rescue and certifies paddle instructors in both nationally recognized programs, NCCP and Paddle Canada.
All of the Rocky Mountain Paddling Centre’s instructors are nationally certified with years of paddling experience. They will not only share their skills with you but their enthusiasm and love of paddling as well.
