Wanna have more fun!? This course takes the next step into the realm of whitewater canoeing. Designed for paddlers looking to expand their skills and increase their enjoyment on a greater variety of rivers. Saturday, on the Kananaskis River, we fine tune our river skills and look at river rescue techniques. On Sunday we will run a Grade II+ river where we can apply our skills to faster moving water. We will focus on eddy turns and ferries, practice linking turns and river reading. Towards the end of the day we will put our ferry skills to the test surfing waves!
Participants should be competent on Class I rivers and be familiar with Ferries and Eddy Turns.
